···From the beginning of the day that i blogged, never did i mentioned about the work that currently I’m working with..that is FISH. “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day”. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. That’s the common chinese proverb that we frequently heard.

What would happen if world without fish?? that would be like world without ocean because fish decorated the ocean and ocean will become bare without fish, just like flowers without colurs, would’nt it be dull no??

Ok…that’s it with flowers of the day. Now back to the science of the fish, this aquatic creatures are currently one of the major source of protein consumed by human and cats..meow2…which likely to be kinda important for the food chain as we can’t only rely to chicken and meat only since these two poultry are usually more prone to diseases than fish. I know we somehow tend to be quite picky when it come to eat fish meat because of the bone. Afraid that we might get choke to death. But i think this is why fish is unique. Because of the bone structure. This is how to test the individuality patience guys. Pick the bone!!

Currently im pursuing Masters of Science (MSc) in Aquaculture, studying about fish hormone. Specifically its about reproductive endocrinology. Weird huh??!! For those who might still blurry, I would say the easiest language is I breed the fish. Breed the fish?? How could someone breed the fish? don’t they know to breed themselves??? this is what I thought before pursuing in this area. but yesss…fish do know how to breed or spawn in more scientific language but the quality off the eggs won’t be the same if we human try to culture them. From highly demand fish like catfish to more exotic one like Arowana are rarely spawn with highly number of eggs and good quality of larvae without man behind it. Yes Arowana only spawn once a year to maintain the broodstock for they are very fragile but it still need man to incubate the fish right..

So, I would say that aquaculture industry really need more hands to shake the world. This is because world are getting crowded, food are getting lesser..so lets increase the fish population.
