Clay pot & Ikan Bakar at Giant Kinrara

Last week, we try to survey the electric stove to replace my old one (portable picnic type). The old stove is still ok, but I think that using electric are more save compared to buying the tin gas (around RM5-6 each).

Unfortunately, the brand that i want is not available. They only have either high-end electric stove (around rm300) or the cheapest which is rm139 for unknown brand Qplus if I’m not mistaken. So, I just decide to buy some stuff for my small kitchen.

We browsed around the supermarket to see what they offer. They have familiar KFC, Pizza Hut, Secret Receipe and one rare restaurant. I cant remember the name. Walking and pushing the cart, we end-up in the Giant food court. Looking at all the menu they offered make me hungry.

At first I want to eat something from Teppanyaki stall (as usual 4-5 bangladeshi staff pack in there). They offered the fried rice with pinapple. Sizzling stall also looks good, but thinking that we never try to eat here make me hesitate.

Then mommy decided to order from Claypot & Ikan Bakar stall, she wanna try the sting ray and squid. To make things easier I choose tomyam. yum!!

30 minute before iftar I ordered what we planned to eat and we wait patiently.

5 minutes before iftar time, the order were ready. There is one chinese guy at the back of the line, shouted loudly to order. Everyone infront of him seems to wait patiently for the stall guy to entertained them. I just wonder, why he choose to order at the same time as we wanna break our fasting, ( you’re late..you’re hungry and shout for the late reply). Not my business by the way, but my order is ready!

There’s one makcik who try to touched Mommy’s Stingray and Squid. Maybe she think that I cut the line. The thing is.. I specially request the stall guy to cook our dish a bit late. So we can start with the ‘hot, right away from the stove’ dishes.

We kinda look around to see if the time is already up. Everyone looks like ready to eat and few ppl still queueing to take order. And then.. eat!

The food was quite satisfying and taste very good. It just that they put too little stuff inside there, and short of rice (for me). Or maybe because we don’t feel enough of it.
