• Washington DC Trip

It never occurred to me that I would reach DC but last week me and all the interns went there for a short trip, 3 days-2 night. It was a last minutes plan but we manage to book 2 different hostels which cost $40 and $30 per night. So..there we go, DC in action

On the way- That’s Charlotte and Armando the Mexican driver

Our first hostel with Obama cardboard at the recycle trash-bin

Our first stop- The Smithsonian Museum

Imax at Smithsonian – cool documentary

Elephant at Smithsonian – remember Night at museum 2 !!

    Dinosouuurrr at Smithsonian

    These are our relatives

    Look at the newspapers machine

Then we head up to the Smithsonian castle but we didn’t spend much time inside. It’s just an administrative office

The historical and famous non-other than Capitol building

The far-far away White House building. This is just in front of the garden. We couldn’t make it through because of the rain. Look at the cloud. Ambil gambar dari jauh pun ok la. For prove that I’ve been here

Botanical garden is the next stop. What I can say, it’s a really huge garden in a cool building. Lotsa greeneries from all around the world including malaysia. That’s the wrap for the day. Next we move to the next hostel

This is the next hostel. The Washington International youth hostel

National Aquarium in Baltimore was the second last destination before we headed back to Hampton. It took around 45 minutes to reach here from DC. When we arrived, there’s a long queue in front of the Baltimore convention center. It’s a comic con. I manage to capture some of the weirdo costumes they have. We paid 30 bucks to get into the Aquarium, 4D Imax movie and the dolphin show. Awesome huh. I think Aquaria KLCC should do the same too.

Finally, we went to Marine Biotechnology lab just next to the Aquarium where my senior Kak Zari working with his PhD research. She bring us to her lab and show us around. They even have shark in the lab. How canggih and cool is that.

So that’s all for the short trip. The next 4 hours is the journey back home
